Vaux – carp fishing holidays in France
A superb refurbished mill house and a 2.5 acre lake with carp to 40lb+. Les Vaux is a stone built mill house that dates back to the 16th Century and is set in the lush green countryside on the borders between Brittany, Normandy and the Pays de la Loire. It is approximately 2 hours from the ferry port of Caen and 1½ hours from St. Malo. The very pretty private lake that lies next to the house dates back over 300 years and has never previously been used as a commercial fishery. The venue is owned by an English couple Chas and Josie Cook, who have restored the lakeside house to a very high standard and stocked the lake with fish.
Vincons – carp fishing in France
Fast and furious action suited to the discerning family angler, Vinçons is a truly beautiful 12 acre spring fed lake situated on a working farm. The setting really is idyllic, quiet and rural, in one of the loveliest regions of central France. The lake is quite literally stuffed full with carp & most guests catch more fish than they ever thought possible. Add this to a choice of two types of accommodation and the use of a swimming pool and you can see why Vinçons has been one of our most popular destinations since 2001.
Watersmeet – carp fishing in France
Watersmeet is a beautiful mature venue consisting of two lakes – one specialist carp lake and one smaller coarse lake. It is superb for a family, or a small group of up to 4 anglers, who are seeking quality fishing in tranquil surroundings with the added bonus of excellent lakeside accommodation in the form of a lovely renovated cottage which sleeps up to 6. Watersmeet is situated in NW France, in the Mayenne region, amongst lovely countryside near the village of Larchamp. Approximate driving time from the port of Caen is 1½ hours.
Windmill Lakes – French carp fishing holiday
If you like to combine your carp fishing with trying for monster catfish then take a good look at the Windmill complex. There are two lakes, both around 4 acres, holding specimen carp… but the Top Lake also offers some serious catfishing with large cats to around 80lb. The lakes are only a few metres apart so you can bivvy up together between the two and still socialise whilst fishing different lakes. Windmill is therefore the perfect combination for a group of anglers with mixed abilities. The Main carp lake has the better stamp of carp whilst the Top lake is a real runs water that also gives you the chance to catch big cats… and you certainly know about it when you have one of these on the line, believe us!
